Project Overview
Lighting has a big impact on how a home feels, but it's often one of the last things people think about during a renovation. When it's planned well, it helps every room function better, creates a more comfortable atmosphere, and brings out the details that make a home unique.
For this project, Luxury AV worked with the renovation team at Strobel Design Build to design and install lighting throughout the kitchen, primary bathroom, and outdoor patio. Each space had different needs, but the goal stayed the same. Create lighting that supports everyday life, complements the home's design, and feels natural from the moment you walk in.
Our role wasn't simply to install fixtures. It was to make sure the lighting worked as part of the overall design and performed the way the homeowners expected every day.
The Challenge
The homeowners wanted more than beautiful fixtures, they wanted every space to feel right.
The kitchen needed bright, functional task lighting without feeling harsh. The primary bathroom needed to transition from energizing mornings to relaxing evenings. And the outdoor patio needed to remain welcoming long after the sun went down.
The challenge was creating a lighting plan that balanced function, comfort, and atmosphere throughout the entire home.

Our Approach
Lighting works best when it's planned early.
The best lighting design begins long before fixtures are installed. That’s why we collaborate with architects, builders, interior designers, and project managers from the earliest stages of a project. By coordinating with the entire team, we can integrate lighting into the home’s design from the start. This helps to avoid costly changes, reducing installation complexity, and creating a smoother building process.
Before installation, we review the home’s layout, fixture locations, and how each room will be used. This planning ensures every light serves a purpose and complements the architecture rather than competing with it.
We also focus on creating a consistent experience throughout the home. While each space has its own lighting requirements, the overall design should feel connected. Moving from one room to the next should feel natural, with each area providing the right amount of light for the way it’s used.
Attention to these details creates a lighting system that feels intuitive from day one.
